More than Black Lace…French Lingerie

French lingerie, ooh la la!  Don’t you just love it? After shopping in New York and Paris, I decided just to relax in my own boudoir with a glass of wine and buy everything I need on-line, for my romantic holiday away. It was so much fun and simpler. Let me just tell you I saw oodles of French bras, french panties and french corsets, all really beautiful. No wonder French women don’t get fat!

You know we all have a  fantasy of what French lingerie is going to look like. A sexy black lacy push up bras and a naughty little pantie, like this romantic set by Lise Charmel.  Super sexy and oh, so feminine with it’s delicate pink floral embroidery on super sheer black lace. It makes giving up croissants worth it.

Anyway, do you remember when French lingerie was all about the micro g-sting? It seemed like less was more? Well, now there are just so many more options and they all seem to be going in the direction of more covered-up, but still alluring, still sexy and all well designed.

The trend was  easy to spot. I just look at designers like Nina Ricci and Simone Perele. I fell in love with the large selection at Laurela.com where I found the most darling little french lace panties. I adore the little diamond detail  in the back and the great fit.

My great find, was this adorable sheer panties and demi-bra  by Simone Perele, so chic and sophisticated. I love the way it looked on and it made me feel like a 1940’s pin up girl.  The set was so refined with sheer black tulle, then outlined just enough with red peonies. I thought the panties where more like French little briefs, so cute and  flattering. C’est le vie! There is noting like French Lingerie.
